You mentioned something about cracking clay? You should try an air drying clay called DAS, they sell it at just about every AC Moore or Michaels. I've only used it on a wooden base, but I'm curious to see how it would work without a base (I'm assuming your souleater is solid clay). Well, good luck with it! Can't wait to see the finished product!
